Actors and Musical Theatre Performers need for original chreopoem based on the writings of Langston Hughes, entitled Langston Hughes: An American Celebration  day time performances January through March and April. Pay.

Langston- Non singing role Af-Am 30-50 smart,, passionate ability to handle poetic language.

Leading Man 25- 50 Strong baritone voice ability to sing both classical and jazz repertoire. Moves well ability to handle poetry and create several different characters.

Leading Lady- 25- 60  Af-Am alto /belter Strong singer able to sing poplar as well as blues songs. Moves well sings God Bless the Child and Strange Fruit

Ingénue - 25-35 Af- AM Soprano moves very well or dancer. Ability to handle poetic language. Legit Broadway/classical voice

INTERSHIPS

Interns will be an important part of the production, artistic and producing teams gaining important real life skills.  Seeking four- five interns to work 10 –20 hours a week.

Producing Intern- Someone with strong computer and interpersonal skills interested in learning how to produce independent theatre.

Artistic Intern- Will assist directors and Producers in all aspects of production, including literary management, casting and design. Great experience for aspiring director or producer.

Technical Intern- Assisting designers and technical director in preparing and executing four play season. Technical interests/ background required.

Publicity/Marketing Intern- will work closely with professional publicist and marketing firms who are marketing the 3 play theatre season and subscriptions.  Excellent opportunity to work with professional theater publicist and marketers.
